Chart Night - Come and join Kevin Rowan-Drewitt, Secretary of Northern Lights for one of the most popular nights of the year when we will be looking at the charts of famous people. The evening will end with our always popular 'Mystery Chart' where we have to work out who the person is, from their birth chart alone.

March 2nd

Tarot: The Astrology of the Minor Arcana by local Astrologer, Tarot Reader and Musician, Mick Frankel. Is there a possible connection between astrology and the Tarot cards? What about the astrology of the deck of 52 playing cards that we’re more familiar with? The talk will begin by looking at the four suits as the four elements: Fire, Earth, Air and Water. Then we'll go more deeply into correspondences based around the 12 signs of the Zodiac grouped by element and mode. We’ll finish the session by doing some sample readings using just the astrology of the cards. Please have a set of Tarot cards with you if possible. Otherwise, playing cards are fine too.

April 6th

Robin Calvert, Astrologer, Scriptwriter and Actor will be presenting a talk entitled THE RECENTLY DEPARTED: AVENGERS & BOND LADIES NIGHT which will look at the charts & lives of acting icons HONOR BLACKMAN & DIANA RIGG - who successively partnered British secret agents John Steed & James Bond before other projects.

Honor Blackman:  Postwar English charm school, graduating as TV’s first liberated woman - judo-throwing Cathy Gale in THE AVENGERS.  She left the series to play Pussy Galore in perhaps the most celebrated James Bond film of all, GOLDFINGER and was a “glamorous granny” in THE UPPER HAND to the end.

Diana Rigg:  Attractive stage actress who succeeded Honor in THE AVENGERS as the equally capable Emma Peel.  In ON HER MAJESTY’S SECRET SERVICE, she became closer to James Bond than any woman before or since.  Winner of a Tony, BAFTA & Emmy Award, she recently co-starred in GAME OF THRONES.

Fernanda is originally from Brazil but has been living in the UK for the past 13 years and she did her first talk at the Astrological Association Conference in 2020 on the Astrology of The Handmaid’s Tale.

Her talk is entitled: The Art of interpretation, finding themes in the Horoscope. In order to learn how to read horoscopes we have to first consult many of the astrological ‘cookbooks’ and dissect each part of a chart, but how about the important process of bringing it all back together? How does that happen, and would there be a formula that could help us do that more smoothly? In this talk we will be exploring the art of interpreting charts, finding themes in the horoscope, and the role of imagination in this process.

She will be using examples from the audience, so you are welcome to send your birth details to with the nickname you would like to use in order to protect your privacy. Fernanda will only be talking about general themes in the horoscope rather than sensitive or private issues, and she will be very respectful as ethics and empowerment are amongst the top priority in her work as an astrologer.
