Good news!

The next meeting of Northern Lights will take place in our private room at the Blackpool Cricket Club, West Park Drive, Blackpool on Tuesday 4th April at 8 pm. This month our speaker will be our Chairperson Barbara Giles who will be following on from last months Mercury based meeting with a talk on what aspects to the planet Mercury mean in your chart. Barbara's talks are always extremely informative and entertaining as she shares her wealth of astrological knowledge with us. There are sure to be many things in this talk that you won't read about in books or find on the internet so we do hope you will join us for this most exciting night. Don't forget to bring your chart. Entrance on the door will be £3 and there will also be a raffle. All donations of raffle prizes will be gratefully received.

We have some other exciting news too. If you would like to bring a friend to the meeting, not only will they receive a very warm welcome but if they haven't been to Northern Lights before they will get in ABSOLUTELY FREE! This has long been a Northern Lights policy but hasn't been advertised enough the officers feel so now you know!

Also we are always looking for new speakers to address the club so if you fancy sharing some of your astrological based knowledge with us let me know. You don't have to do the whole evening , 15-20 minutes would be more than welcome so do have a good think about it. Likewise, we are always looking for articles for our now online newsletter ICARUS so if you would like to submit an article get writing and send it to me as I am the editor. Your article ideally should be in Word 13, Arial font size 11 and justified left and right. If that is all gobbledegook to you send in what you have and our editor Kevin will deal with it as best he can! Around 2000 words tops is ideal but can be shorter or longer depending on the subject matter. You can include charts and pictures too.

Finally, we will be having a summer BBQ at Barbara's on Sunday 23rd July, 2pm - 5pm. This will be a FREE event, you just have to bring your own food and drink and we will cook the former for you. There will be a vegan/vegetarian grill separate alongside those for the meat eaters. Also there will be a raffle, donations of prizes will be gratefully received, and also a Bring-and-Buy stall. All proceeds will go to the club's funds to help us pay for room hire and speakers. Our Publicity Officer John Dawson will be resident in the garden summer house offering divinatory readings. We did an event like this this a few years ago and it was a great success so I do hope you'll be able to join us for what will be a marvellous sunny afternoon - and we have wet weather options too so it will definitely go ahead rain or shine.
