Last speaker of 2017!

The next meeting of Northern Lights will take place at our private room in the Blackpool Cricket Club, West Park Drive, Blackpool at 8pm.

Our Guest Speaker this month will be Ian Carlisle of our sister group Phoenix Rising from Manchester who will be giving a talk about Out of Bounds Planets. Ian has been addressing us for many years and he is a fabulous speaker with a lot of knowledge. About his talk Ian says:

'We know that planets move around the zodiac: what is not always realised is that they move up and down as well. Sometimes these up-and-down movements enable us to make extra connections between planets, and sometimes their position can make them stronger than usual. The talk looks at this movement, how we measure it, and how we can make the connections or assess their strength. This is an old technique that not many people use these days, but it can be useful in many situations - financial astrology, weather forecasting, sports event forecasts, for example.' Here is some biographical information about Ian: Born with Sun in Aquarius, I'm a retired lecturer and examiner in Mathematics, and started studying Astrology I'm 1995. I gained the Diploma of the Mayo School of Astrology (with distinction) in 2004, and the Certificate of Qualified Horary Practitioner in 2007. I'm also the chairman of the Phoenix Rising Astrology Group at Sale in South Manchester.

Admission on the night will be £3 and there will also be a raffle. Any donations of prizes will be gratefully received.
